We have previously been informed that the the Sponsor Management System for issuing Certificate of Sponsorship for migrant workers will be affected from 7 pm on 2 April 2024 until 9 am 4 April 2024.

However, the timing has been revised to allow extra time for assigning Defined Certificate of Sponsorships prior to the new implementations that are taking place. The SMS will now be affected from 7pm on 3 April 2024 until 9 am on 5 April 2024.

This would mean the following during the period of 7pm on 3 April 2024 until 9 am on 5 April 2024:

• You will not be able to submit a sponsor licence application, apply to add routes to your licence or renew your licence
• You will not be able to apply for a Defined Certificate of Sponsorship
• You will not be able to renew the allocation for Undefined Certificate of Sponsorship
• You will not be able to assign a Certificate of Sponsorship to any migrant worker
  Any worker assigned a CoS prior to 7pm on 3 April 2023 before the new salary threshold will be able to submit their applications after 5 April 2024 as the CoS will remain valid for the 3 months validity period.
