A scheme allowing Ukrainians to join family members in the UK was announced to be closed as of 19 February 2024 at 3pm.

The Ukrainian Extension Scheme is also due to close for applicants applying from within the UK until 16 May 2024.

However successful applicants applying from 11 March 2024 under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme will be granted 18 months than 36 months leave. They would be required to submit another application under the new Ukraine Scheme.  The new changes also state that those who have been eligible to enter the UK under the UFS scheme will be able to apply for the Homes for Ukraine Scheme.

There have been additional grounds on which applications can be rejected which includes having breached previous immigration laws and failure to provide the required information.
