Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union announced that over 1,000 Passport Office workers across England, Scotland and Wales will go on strike for a period of 5 weeks for disputes about their jobs, pay, pension and conditions. This will cause disruption and an increase in the decision making process of issuing passports, as applicants will have to wait more than 10 weeks to receive their passports. This will mean that many people who have planned holidays would have to lose out on their holidays due to such disruption.
